I'd like to share with you a dream I had the night of the election. I do so for those of you who are experiencing anxiety, stress and fear about the state of our country and our world. I also share it with those of you who may be more focused on personal issues of distress. You may want to see it as a metaphor rather than as political. The dream for me was empowering, hopeful and calming on all levels. My wish is that it will be the same for you.

I was on a large ship out at sea. It was evening and as I was enjoying the gentle breeze a vortex of pure darkness came through and seized control of the vessel. The ship tossed and rolled, picking up speed. Am I going to survive this? I wondered.
The next thing I knew I was on shore. My feet firmly in the sand. I was standing tall and exuberant. The light was everywhere. Shining through me, all around me, radiating in all directions. My arms raised and I said out loud, If I could get through this, I can get through anything.
Now several months later, I refer to the dream often and it brings immediate calm. I hope it brings you some comfort also.
